Comments Thread For: Saulerand: Klitschko-Povetkin is Likely in Early 2013

A fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin is possible for early 2013, says Povetkin's promoter Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event. Everything depends on Povetkin (24-0, 16KOs) defeated former two-time WBC champion Hasim Rahman on Saptember 29th in Hamburg, Germany. Klitschko vs. Povetkin was scheduled twice in the past and both times the fight fell through. But, Sauerland is confident the third time the fight will indeed happen. Povetkin is the WBA's regular champion at heavyweight, while Klitschko is the WBA's "super champion." The WBA, says Sauerland, will order the two boxers to face each other in the coming months.

All of his ducking and delaying have been for not.

He will get destroyed just as he would had he fought him earlier,

    Wlad will break him.

He should have either gone 101% with Teddy Atlas and set up his training camps in America as agreed, or developed a relationship with another trainer. Povetkin just hasn't ever come into the ring in shape and done something sensational against his better opponents thus far.

..but I agree with everyone else; the Klitschko meeting is long overdue. Time to take his ass whooping and see if he learns anything in defeat.

They should just stand up all the heavyweights in a big long line next to the path that Wladimir jogs each morning. Then he can hold out his fist as he runs so it smacks them all in the face. They're all going to lose anyway, might as well KO them all in the same day to save time.
