He fought a guy in the Philadelphia area where I live not too long ago and just ruined this guy, he was 16-0 with 16 knockouts and supposed to be a huge local prospect, but Hawkins stopped him in 5 and really beat him up. It was so bad that the local promoter accused Hawkins of being on steroids because they had handpicked him to get knocked out by the prospect. Hawkins is talented and tough

I didn't mean my post to denigrate Hawkins. He's definitely a tough fighter who gives his all. I just don't see how a fight against a much shorter opponent with little power does anything to prepare Peter to move back up the ladder.
