Canelo mainly cos he also beat SSM showing its not that hard to do, so just makes sense.
If Canelo keeps winning it just makes sense that Floyd would fight him before he retires. I think Canelo is a bigger money fight than anyone except Pacquiao. I am one of the few that thinks Canelo has a good chance to win.

i wouldn't mind seeing this for Alvarez.....

        Alvarez-Kirkland in December 2012.
        Alvarez-Cotto/Bundrage (Cotto hopefully lol) in May/June 2013.
        Alvarez-Angulo/Lara/Vanes in September 2013.
        Alvarez-Trout/Berto/Rosado in December 2013.
        Alvarez-Mayweather in May 2014.

Of course, Alvarez-Cotto may just happen in December, in which case if Alvarez were to win, already makes Mayweather-Alvarez a huge fight for May 2013. Or, if Floyd fights in February-April 2013 against Manny or someone else, he can fight Alvarez in September 2013.

I am also one of the few that thinks Chavez has a good chance to beat Martinez. If he beats Martinez would Floyd fight a tough young guy that might have nearly 30 pounds on him when they enter the ring? Chavez can barely make 160 so a catchweight is out of the question.

No. Floyd-Chavez would be like Rios-Donaire or some s**t in terms of weight difference. Chavez would easily be 180-185 on fight night, while Floyd would be like 150 at the most probably.

I hope Alvarez beats Cotto in December and gets the Mayweather fight in May 2013. I am an impatient Canelo fan and I think his fights with Cotto and Floyd would be great fights regardless of who wins.

I guess my thinking is Floyd-Canelo would still be there in Late 2013 or Spring 2014, as one of Floyd's final 1-2 fights. And I guess I'm hoping Mayweather-Pacquiao can happen Spring 2013.

But if Alvarez beats Cotto, he deserves the Floyd fight 100%.

I myself would rather see Cotto-Bundrage and Alvarez-Kirkland in December, than Alvarez-Cotto in a big unification May/June 2013.

4Corners, sorry to get off topic but I must say Bundrage is one of the worst when it comes to picking fights. He brings in very little money and he thinks he should get only the big fights like Mayweather, Cotto and Canelo. He turned down a chance to fight Trout and prove he deserves these big fights. Bundrage would probably turn down a fight with Kirkland but I would love to see Kirkland blast him into retirement. I just don't think Bundrage is very good. If he beats Kirkland he would be more in the mix for the big fights he wants.

I can definitely see Cotto fight Bundrage to grab the IBF title in December. He's still in the Top 10, would be a decent fight for Cotto in December, setting up Cotto-Alvarez.

That sounds great. I am very confident that Cotto and Canelo would KO their opponents and then then fight each other in a great showdown. Bundrage would finally get the big payday he wants and retire a rich man.
