Really though, what does Oosthuizen bring to the table? his last fight was on a Thursday night in NY.

Bika fight is still a possibility.

        Sounds good, Ill watch.

Froch could've gone for a Pavlik fight as well. Pavlik might not be ranked but hey it's Pavlik. And didn't Arum and Pavlik say they wanted this fight too?

Pavlik wanted it but Arum said he wanted Kessler or Bute for Pavlik, so I'd imagine what Bob says goes.

Oh? Guess I missed that. Guess he's going for the "easier" options trying to build Pavlik up to then feed him to Chavez Jr. That's just my opinion tho.

I've been advocating for that fight..... From both men's past history it would've gone 12 and Froch could've got a W and some rounds in.... Froch still doesn't have a dance partner..... Bika is the next highest rated SMW so we will see

What does Oosthuizen bring to the table? Skill! This kid has talent and slick southpaw. he's on his way to becoming a big name. would've been a good opportunity for froch to fight a young solid fighter, kinda like when Mayweather fought Ortiz.

I meant as a 'name' in terms of selling the fight, I wasn't disparaging his skills.

As to Mayweather v Ortiz, Ortiz would never have gotten that fight had he not won a high profile fight against Berto (it was supposed to be Floyd v Berto) Tommy Gun Oosthuizen hasn't attracted that kind of attention yet.

Erm nah not really, I've seen plenty of him and he's only slightly better than domestic level.

But froch doesn't have many options, oousthaven doesn't want it, kessler priced himself out, bute isn't ready for round 2, ward is busy, Abraham and Stiglitz are busy, uncle bob won't let kessler fight, I mean who's left?

Tbh, froch might as well bash groves up, it'd sell pretty good in the UK, and wouldn't do groves too much damage long term

Good point..Your right, Tommy hasn't attracted that attention yet, however, Froch could've been that guy to put the spotlight on Tommy. His ticket to stardom if you will. That's why I saw potential in that bout. Oh well, too bad the negotiations fell through.
