Donovan George didn’t just take the fight that nobody else wanted; he jumped at the chance to face Adonis Stevenson.

George is still willing to take the fight that nobody else wants, even if it means waiting until at least October for it to once again materialize.

But anyone who thought the Chicagoland fighter was going to sit around and idly wait for that fight to happen just doesn’t know Donovan George very well.

Injuries to others plague boxer Donovan George

    ■ Don George:
"I'm discouraged," George admitted. "I have a contusion in my right hand, but I'm fighting," he said. "The only cure (for it) is to not fight. And that's not an option."

    ■ Title:
Don George tosses first pitch at Chicago Cubs game

    ■ George Throws First Pitch at Cubs Game Just eight days ahead of his biggest fight, world-ranked super middleweight Donovan "Da Bomb" George (22-2-1, 19 KOs) took to the mound for their ceremonial first pitch before the start of a Cubs game against the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field. A lifelong Cubs fan, George threw a perfect strike to huge cheers from the over 30,000 in attendance. George will proudly wear the jersey presented to him by the Cubs, as he heads into the ring on Friday, August 17, to face the formidable Adonis "Superman" Stevenson (18-1, 15 KOs) in a 12-round IBF Super Middleweight Title Eliminator at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma in the main event on ESPN Friday Night Fights (10 PM Eastern on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN3).

    ....................

►►According George perfect right hand strike, he did that pitch with a contusion in the same hand...

► To publicly lie like that, you should see everybody as dummies.
► George shouldn't do that, by lying like this, what was he attempting to do, what faulty message he tried to fit between the lines...
