Interesting, he's the closest thing that we have ever had to a Corrie Sanders now... I say make it happen at his Eight fight just like Leon Spinks... after he becomes the Italian Champion of course

Too late, he has so much experience i was expecting him to turn pro in 2008.. Now he would probably 38 before he gets a genuine chance at the belts.

It's not that late really. You can get a title shot at heavyweight after about 15 fights nowadays it's not like the division is brimming with talent. So as long as he stays busy he could be at the top in 3-4 years. Though i doubt he will ever beat a Klitschko anyway.

Hmmm, truth is I think Cammarelle won that but politics played their part. Howver, the longer it went the more Joshua and his physicality would have come into play because he looked that he could come on strong after that 3rd round and Cammarelle was looking like that lobster in the pot.

Turning pro at 30+ seems to be the norm in Italy, I think the average age of their professional fighters is 40.

He'll need to be pushed fast and should be fighting Dimitrenko by the time he's had 10 or so fights. He could be fighting for a world title in 3 years dependant on his progression. Wlad's already ran out of options and Cammarelle is going to be seen as a viable fight.

I've waited so long to hear this. I juts hope he doesn't think he can Wilder his way around at his age.

Makes me wonder as to why he has stayed in the AM's for so long. It seems the norm for Italian fighters to do this.

Should have gone pro after the last Olympics and made a boat load of cash and put some good fights on. I will still be interested in watching him fight due to his massive power he possess

What a coincidence that in these Olympics which took place in London & in ALL the fights that ended with even scores in which British fighters were involved, ALL the decisions were awarded to the LOCAL fighter!!! & even when it was clear the other fighter did better!!! I don't blame them(team Cammaelle) for acting the way they did..
