You give a young Tyson over to Eddie Futch, & fight folk all over the world would describe Mike as "a heavyweight Willie Pep".

Futch would have recognized Mike's fleet-footedness immediately, & maximized those gifts.

Tyson would STILL be heavyweight champ of the world- TODAY. Why ? Because under Futch....Mike would have never, & I mean never, been hit !

Tyson should have stayed away from Don King and stayed with Kevin Rooney.

Because Futch was more into the purity of the sport....& also could train a fighter in a style other than the peek-a-boo. Not Cus...that pedophile was one-dimensional. Cus' limitations limited Tyson's long-term success. Cus should have had Mike using those fleet-feet for more than just coming forward.
He should have kept Tyson left-handed....moving, like he was a 200+lb Pernell Whitaker....or like an 80's Chris Byrd !

Just think how great Tyson would have been ? Even greater than he is/was, which is/was the goddamn greatest EVER.

I wish Tyson had TEN TRAINERS....that way ALL of his tremendous gifts would have been utilized...maximized.
He could have been history's most complete fighter !

He wouldn't have gotten rich without D'Amato.
