Convention Center, Arlington, Texas - Top Rank's welterweight prospect Alex Saucedo (5-0, 3KOs), 18-years-old, had a close call in winning a four round majority decision over previously undefeated Donald Ward (1-1, oKO). Two judges scored the fight in favor of Saucedo, while the third saw it 38-38. Ward, 23-years-old, made his pro debut in May as a middleweight.
