I didn't even take the article seriously when I first read it. Just a case of Dana White trying to paint the image that the stars under his banner are bigger than boxing biggest stars.
Anyone with common sense would realise that Nike having Pacquiao as the poster boy would not be affected by endorsing a UFC fighter. They use Pacquiao's image because he is one of the biggest stars in the asian community, having another fighter endorse their product wouldn't diminish his use. Now if they had Jeremy Lin endorse their products one could argue that he replaced Pacquiao.
