        I believe people actually give a more neutral outlook once they are no longer personally invested into the boxers, without having to deal with their rabid fanbases and being disappointed by often over-hyped media promotion.

        It becomes much easier to admit that the fighter was actually pretty good, when you no longer have other people picking them over your own favorites.
