I think the biggest plus for Bam Bam in this fight is that his chief partner is Maidana. You just can't get better sparring for this fight than that right there. Aside from that, it also means there is a big chance he leaves it in the gym.
If Garcia has any insight, and his statements are based on his personal observation, Rios won't make 140. That's the only way he can be bigger than Alvarado and, if A follows B, that's the only way he's going to be stronger. I believe what Mike means is Rios is younger, but that doesn't guarantee a win either, it's just an good advantage.
i am proud to hear garcia admit that sparring with rios was tough and that after a few rounds the presure and strength was overwealming. that my friends is an honest fighter. with all the trash talking from fighters especially the ones who keep loosing and still run their mouths. this was a pleasure to hear. i'd like more fighters to give props to each other all the time instead of after a fight.
