Yeah, it was a fun fight. I thought Mora was pretty much done before this fight and I usually hate his style, but he put on a good performance.

Yes he did and for his efforts he got screwed by two of the judges.

Even Vera said he didn't think he won.

That's how it goes, man. No matter how much you hate a guy and want him to lose, you want him to lose fairly. If he gets robbed, not only do you feel bad for the guy, but you actually want to root for him next time.

Who the hell wrote this article anyway? It looks like someone just read the boxrec and guessed what happened without watching the fight. Saying that Vera landed the harder shots is a joke. The only thing Vera had was volume, but it was rare for him to land anything clean.

I agree 100%.

The clean, effective punching was done by Mora.

Another case of quantity winning out over quality.

Sounds like mora got robbed. This is what he gets for giving people shieety boring fights usually. No idea in this case, but judging him from his last few fights this is a dude I said I never wanted to see again unless he was KO'd........dude talks trash but doesnt back it up + runs and holds all night for a snoozer

It is obvious that Mora's heart is not in Boxing AT ALL! He did not want to be there! He wasn't in shape, mouth open early, totally disinterested. Stick a fork in him, he should retire. It is over for him. He lost to a mediocre clubfighter, again. Fighting in 10 second spurts doesn't cut it. On top of that, he is painful to watch.

Maybe this will lead to Mora retiring and hopefully getting into commentating. If Tarver's going to be replaced on Showtime they should hollar at Sergio. He's done a great job for ESPN.

Heavily disagree with the decision. Two of those scorecards were outrageous. I wouldn't be opposed to a trilogy though. Ruined what was a great fight.

Nice find, I thought no way Escalante is not getting koed in that fight. He'd just got staggered and the other guy was going for the kill.

A great little card out of nowhere. Mora Vera was way better than it sounds, and the 4 rounder was also fun.

mora is a good commentary guy, his problem is not keeping the fight in the middle of the ring he stays on the ropes a lot n i dont think that helps at all, n some vera punches the slip in so hes gona get more credit for keeping him on the ropes n landing a few unlike mora he jus gets bullied into the ropes
