    TMT should sign Carson Jones

Jones has a lot of talent and he's tough as nails. He's seriously underrated, mostly because of poor management, but he's got what it takes to be a top welterweight. He took Brook to deep waters and nearly drowned him. A lot of people would love to see a rematch down the road, TMT should sign this kid, hype him up and get him a rematch with Brook.

They should. Dude has really improved since I first saw him and he can put on an entertaining show against some high tier opposition.
I say why not.... I don't know if they're just looking for world champs right now, but they should if they get the chance.

I agree. I've been watching him fight for years, and can't believe he's had such an extensive career for only 25 years old. He had massive heart and will against Brook, but not the skills to figure Brook out early enough.

Jones would be a good comeback fight for Berto, imo.

I dunno. Good for us but if I was Berto's team I'd given him an easier ride. He didn't look great against Zaveck & a lot has gone on in his life in the last 18 months.

I'd love to see the fight though.

I thought he looked good and energized against Zavec, damn shame we didn't get to see how it would go in the late rounds.

They will probably go with an easier fight, but I think Berto has to tools to get Jones out of there, and that would be a pretty good win for a comeback fight.

I'd love to still see Berto-Ortiz II, but now that Ortiz has lost two in a row I could see DiBella passing on it for other opportunities for Bero.

Edit: Wait, did Berto sign with TMT? If he's with 50 now, I have NO idea.

He did in comparison to his Victor fight..... but I think Zavec was getting to him and tides could have shifted.
Jones vs Berto would be a competitive fight no doubt, but he'd need something a little bit easier since it'll be almost a year since he set foot in the ring.

Ortiz is back where he was after the Maidana kayo. Not sure what his next step will be after he recovers. Plenty of opportunities though. Take out Floyd & Pacquiao (just because I am bored of all the drama) & you have Bradley*, Guerrero, Berto, Brook, Alexander, Bailey, Malignaggi, Jones (Carson but maybe Mike can come back) & Maidana.

Throw in some others who may play a part in 2013 like Khan, Lopez, Maidana, Aydin, several Argentinians, Omotoso, Thurman and several others & you have a lively weight division if we can make the bouts.

              * - I appreciate that Tim is out of the 'normal' loop at present.

Jones is a vip member of the who needs 'em club.

No one will want to face that man unless they have to.

I honestly thought he was crap for about 4 rounds of that Brook fight and then he turned into a monster.

That's why I think signing with TMT and training at the Mayweather gym would do him wonders. He'll learn to get rounds in the bank early, instead of having that journeyman mentality of waiting until the second half to let your hands go.
