Perez came on strong late but I still thought he lost.

I thought Mamadjonov was heading for a k.o. himself when he rocked Perez in that second round but he couldn't do it.The Chris Avalos - Yenifel Vicente was better than the main event. I didn't think Vicente was going to make it to the final round from the way he looked glassy eyed from that k.o.

Perez waits too much and got behind this fight. Someday he won't be able to catch up. He's looking to counter, but Mamajanov was able to avoid it early and a more experienced fighter may avoid it all together. Point no.2, Mamajanov got thrown to the lions.

As a lightweight "prospect", Perez is in too deep of a division. He is not busy, slow of foot, and he makes a big mistake of leaning in with his chin often that will cost him. He has to be set to punch and doesn't let his hands go. Not impressed at all with him. The semi was much better.
