He was being careful the whole fight, that's why Danny landed I believe 59 punches the whole 9 rounds.

Vitali won every round, and really threw Williams off whatever game plan he came in with.

Vitology thought of finishing him, but he wanted to make sure he didn't have a heartbeat at all when he went in for the kill, because he remembered when he tried to go in for the kill against Lewis and Lewis caught him and opened up that 2inch cut on his mug.

Recall that Vitali went to the hospital afterwards to get his hands checked out. Probably he never put his all into his punches because of those hand problems. Williams was just tough enough to extend his punishment as Vitali backed off to save his hands. Basically, Vitali just thudded guys out with repeated blows until they or the ref had to stop them. He KOed Hide with a thudding jab after Hyde had been dropped by a right hand and got up. In this one Williams kept getting up. Recall how he had Lewis reeling about the ring like a drunken sailor.

People are just so foolish with their comments. How can anyone on here say that if Williams this and Williams that, that Williams would have beaten Vitali. That fight had to be one of the most lopsided fights I have ever seen in the heavyweight division. Vitali simply DOMINATED him from bell to bell.
