I was hoping Broner would fight Bogere on October 6th. But this is a good fight. What happened to Abril vs. Rees???

Maybe Broner can fight Rees now.

isn't donaire/nishioka & rios/alvarado going down oct. 13th? gbp trying to make another card on the same date as top rank's? that's some bullsit. getting tired of de la hoya and schafer doing crap like this.
good fight though, abril deserves to have his next bout be a title fight. i hope he doesn't get robbed again, i doubt he will. should be a good fight.

I'm glad Abril gets to fight for the title again and in American TV, but I hope he realizes that the clinching cost him a number of fans and doesn't do it again.

It wasn't so much the clinching as it was the low work-rate. Rios was at fault for some of those clinches too. Most of the time, Rios would just bulldoze in and let shots off while Abril would get into a defensive posture and left Rios with nothing to hit. Abril needs to throw more against Bogere.

Abril wins this in a wide decision.....call Abril the Octopus man. His height, reach, and arms everywhere will be too much for Bogere to solve.
