  • Comments Thread For: Trout vs Garcia in Talks For Alexander-Bailey Card

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a fight between WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (25-0) and Roberto Garcia (31-3) is under discussion to be added to the Randall Bailey-Devon Alexander card that takes place on September 8th. If the fight is finalized Showtime will televise a tripleheader. Lucas Matthysse takes on Ajose Olsegun in the co-feature.

Trout wins via one-sided UD. Really a small step back from Delvin. But not his fault K9 ducked him.

I don't really need to see Trout beat up Roberto Garcia~ I guess it is a fight to make Trout look good.

Hopefully he fights someone worthwhile soonish~

Eh. No fighter that's got any sort of hype behind them is going to want to get in there with Trout. There's no money in fighting him and he's skilled/awkward as hell.

Better to hold onto your ranking and hope for a shot at Canelo/K9/Kirkland/Cotto/Mayweather.

K-9 did duck him, but I still would have preferred something more high profile for Trout than Garcia.

          This is kind of blah.

Good fight, an entertaining domination and maybe a chin check.

a nothing bout 4 Trout who refuses 2 step up & challange the names in the decison...he stays in the shadows , beats, @ most, average guys, looks @ his last 4 bouts, & complains he can't get big fights w/gis boring style & no draw chaisma...
