Maybe this is off topic because he didn't do anything to embarrass the sport, but something that's stood out to me as one of the most embarrassing moments ever for a boxer had to be Liakovich falling through the ropes after not getting hit, seconds remaining, to lose his heavyweight title to Briggs--an unranked fighter known for being completely incompetent after the first five rounds.

i think any heavyweight who turns up to a big fight and looks like he just rolled out of McDonalds is down right embarassing.

I don't expect all fighters to turn up and look like haye/cunningham/vladimir, but i do expect them to turn up and be in some sort of decent shape
