lets look at this from a marketing standpoint: who the **** wants to see rahman vs maskaev 2? who the **** wants to see toney vs calloway? and who the **** cares if maskaev doesnt get an immediate title shot? toney vs rahman is where the money is at (if anyone wants to see rahman period). rahman is a bum with one lucky punch that got him to where he is. maskaev is an inconsistent bum whos lost to every credible contender he ever fought (aside from SSS). im not even going to bother typing up whatever the hell calloway is. toney is the money-maker here. people want to see HIM. he has every right to get a title shot and get the majority of the purse.

lets look at this from a boxing fans perspective: do we really want to see maskaev as a champion? do we really want to see rahman's first defense against another undeserving bum? will anyone care if calloway dies five minutes from now? wouldnt it be great if we had a champion who was consistent, skilled, successful, and marketable (like james toney for example)?

this is kinda funny....when toney came to reno (where i live) when he fougt guinn he had is open workout at a casino and he was like and hour late or somthin ****** then the security officer said "toney will be down in about a half hour hes still eating." but really it speaks volumes of this guys talent if he can be fat and outta shape almost 40 and still imo be the guy of the hw...
