I'm pretty sure Glen Johnson has retired so has Emanuel Augustus.

hopkins was robbed worse against taylor twice and then even more so against calzaghe, now that was a real robbery.
Perception is a funny thing. I thought the Funeka Campbell bout was a horrible robbery whilst Taylor beat Hopkins in their first bout (2nd was very close). Also thought Calzaghe beat the Nard too.

i thought funeka-campbell could have gon either way considering the knockdowns, funeka was badly robbed against guzman though. really in both fights considering the unfair advantage guzman had going into the rematch even though the scorecards were correct.

calzaghe lost to hopkins. missed punches isnt effective aggression and dont score any points other than the points the opponent gets for his defense. when they did land hopkins landed much better shots, harder, cleaner and more damaging. he dropped calzaghe and hurt him on 3-4 diffrent occassions, meanwhile the only damage calzaghe did was below the belt.

the only area calzaghe outpointed hopkins was ring generalship, he did a good job cutting the ring off and putting hopkins on the ropes but thats it.

          clean effective punches - hopkins
effective aggression - neither (hopkins wasnt aggressive and calzaghe wasnt effective)
          defense - hopkins
          ring generalship - calzaghe

most ppl dont know how to score fights though, they think just throwing more punches is outworking someone regardless if you land or not. it isnt, outworking someone is if both fighters are about equally effective but one is significantly more busy.

if one is more busy but incredibly inneffective while the other is measured but very effective the guy who throws less wins huge. not only is he scoring on clean effective punching by landing more quality shots but hes scoring big on defense too.

i dont think ppl can tell whats an effective punch either though, they see with their ears. thats what killed hopkins against calzaghe and even more so against taylor. taylor could throw three shots miss all of them and get clocked with a counter right hand and lampley would go "big right hand from taylor, and another!" and ppl would buy it. if you turn the sound off you will see hopkins was boxing taylors ears off and the same thing applies to calzaghe.

joe slaps him 8 times on the gloves and hopkins hits him with two hard, clean bodyshots, in reality an excellent exchange for hopkins scoring with his punches and his defense. but instead its called and subsequently scored as a great flurry for joe.

I agree. Molina is so overlooked it's unbelievable. Plus that DQ against Kirkland cost me £200.

Molina definitely has been on the wrong end of controversy quite a bit.

Lucas Mattysee was not robbed against Zab Judah....he lost too many early rounds.

I swear people forget rounds if they see about 3 dominant rounds by someone. My answer is Richard Abril.

Molina was going to get stopped. However, we can only speculate that now. His clinching against Kirkland was some of the worst I've ever seen.
