Junior flyweight contender Luis Rios (7-1-1, 4KOs) pulled off an upset six round split decision to snatch away the undefeated record of Byron Rojas (6-1-3, 4KOs) at the Gimnasio Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua. Two judges had Rios up 58-56, while te third had Rojas up 58-56. Rios was coming off a six round majority decision loss to Roger Collado, which took place in June in Chinandega.
