Meh...Roy is a grown man and can do whatever he wants.

But I don't think people should penalize the athletes for the corruption and the scoring system. The fighters put a lot into this and take pride in having the opportunity to represent their countries. All of the BS that goes on within the amateur system doesn't mean you shouldn't support the fighters.

Look how emotional Errol Spence was after finding out he got robbed yesterday. Winning the gold medal is important to him in spite of the system that's in place.

From what I understand, the reason why pro's can't fight in the olympics is because of the scoring and the headgear being the differentiating factor.

Now that they're doing away with those two things, will pro's now be allowed to compete?

I have to agree with Jones Jr. on this one, that's messed up what they did to Jones, the whole system sucks when they score this Olympic boxing crap.

I'm with you on this. I like to see who's out there, what the future possibly holds. There's no doubt that the winning fighters don't always get the nod.

Alas, how much better would this sport be if that were so?

Roy's right, the scoring wasn't the problem, it's the judging that stinks. But there's nothing new about that, either in the pros or the amateurs. What are they gonna do about it? The IOC tried eliminating the human factor by changing the scoring system. It only made the problem worse. We'll be complaining about Olympic boxing in 2016 as well, even with the rule changes.
