Who you got between Rios and Alvarado?
me and you and dempsey. winners.

happy as clams. the fans win this one.
i think arum thinks rios has peaked. let him slug it out and if he swims he'll make bigger fights.

it's a pick em fight, to be honest. rios has been in deep for longer. he fought jorge teron years ago, and even anthony peterson was a while back and many fights ago. he's more experienced, even if he'll probably be the one fighting less reponsibly.

alvarado has been at a higher weight and fighting some bigger guys, but i'm not sure that he's bigger than rios. i dont see it. i have not seen as much of him in between fights as i've seen of rios, so perhaps i'm more inclined to recognize his size. rios is huge. he looks like a middleweight in some photographs. he drained himself to basically nothing to make 135. at 140 he'll still be good sized, and i dont think that alvarado will simply be too big for him

rios is coming off of a loss. he knows it. everybody knows it. his tune up didnt come off, and now he's got to fight an undefeated guy with some pop.
if rios can be the man he was at the heart of his run at 135 he'll beat alvarado. he's a puncher, but i think he wears guys down more than he concusses them

rios via decision or a doctor stoppage for cuts and swelling

both guys will beat the hell out of each other, though. without a struggle to make weight bam bam has a hell of a chin. i actually think it will go 12. i wouldnt mind being wrong.

I know Alvarado vs Rios is going to be a war, but I'm guessing I'm the only person who isn't overly excited over it. The Brandon Rios and John Murray had a phone booth fight where they put their head together like billy goats that bored the hell out of me after a few rounds. It's so goddamn repetitive. And before that, we got Rios in the type of phonebooth fight against Antillon. And now I'm expecting Rios vs Alvarado to be another similar phonebooth fight. They'll slam their heads together and inside fight the entire time. I really want to see Rios and Alvarado face a different type of style.

siri might be too much for garcia. if he cant outclass him completely, and is forced into a hard fight, he might fold. if i have any questions about garcia they are mental. he seems to still have a bit of that "little brother" mentality. this is a grown man's game and you have to be stone cold and rock hard.

siri is a bad dude. strong, hard punching, decent skills, loads of toughness, and he's a real vet.

              mikey's got the medicine, though
anybody who ever fought at 126 could be hurt by those things mikey throws. real talk. his power is very much legit, imo. real power. he's enough of a technician and he's so patient and safety first that you dont get to see his hardest stuff until he has a man hurt, but man can he crack

man can he crack! he hits harder than juanma. real talk.

Hmm you brought up some good points. But Rios is used to fighting the smaller guys at 135. While Alvarado might not be bigger than him, he sure is bigger than the 135 lbers Rios has fought. Alvarado also brings it to you for 10-12 rounds straight no problem.

Before I had Alvarado winning, I just thought Alvarado's jab and movement (its not much but more than Rios' IMO) might give him the edge but those two factors might not even matter cause these two might not leave the center of the ring. Im expecting them being head to head in there duking it out the whole fight. So yea, this is probably a 50/50 fight but Im pulling for Alvarado here.

rios looked like a zombie for a good portion of that fight, perhaps explaining some of the rounds you though were dull.
you've got to figure weight was effecting him for his final few fights at 135. murray got the trash beat out of him, though, when it was finished.

                      his face was awfully bruised.
