I wonder if GB or Cotto would give K9 that big of a payday, i highly doubt it. What did GB pay Canelo's last 5 opponents? What did Mayorga and Marg get to fight Cotto?

The problem is, K9 is also not a household name, so he shouldn't be *****ing about a 500k payday against a solid contender.

I don't know what those guys got paid to fight Cotto. I'm sure Margarito got paid in the seven figures. It was the return match in a bitter rivalry between well-known opponents. Mayorga probably got paid a few hundred thousand. Bundrage couldn't expect much more, if anything, than Ricardo. At least Mayorga has name recognition and brings entertainment. A 500k payday for a guy like "K9" is pretty good. He's being greedy at this point. He has a highly inflated opinion of himself.

There's a good profile-raising fight for K9: Mayorga. Yeah, all of us boxing geeks would talk smack about it cause he's got alot of hard miles on him, but Mayorga has that big name (or at least bigger than Trout/Lara/etc...). Also their styles would make for a helluva' brawl methinks.

I talked to Austin. K9's people (Emmanuel) wanted $1M to fight Trout, but Austin's teams didn't want to go over $500k. Fight Hype posted the numbers for the fight against Spinks.

Damn, another ****** business decision. Instead of making 4 times as much as he did in his last fight, a career high payday and a unification, he will end up fighting his mandatory on an undercard for peanuts.

K9 is smoking the same stuff that Mundine is. Guys that have absolutely ZERO reason to have their ridiculous sense of entitlement. Beating Trout puts him in the position to ask for a Floyd fight, and get 500k while he's at it. Should be a no-brainer.
