i just thought it was expected that southpaws do better at amateur competitions due to fighters not knowing who they are going to fight and or having like 1-2 days preparation......that said, there seem to be a lot more than normal.

There are sooo many southpaws in the amateurs that they no longer have that advantage

There are a lot of advantages to leading with your stronger arm. Surprised more pros don't do it TBH.
