Was Vitali moments away from being knocked down here?

    6:44

Sanders lands a nice left hook which clearly Buzzes Vitali up, Vitali can't fire back and gets on his bike, but the round is almost over.

He recovered quickly in the corner, but i think he was close to touching down here

Yes, he was visably hurt, a couple of hard shots would have sent him over

No, he would have survived and recovered in the ring

It's hardly debatable, the way he stumbled. He almost fell by himself. Another of those punches and he would've been knocked down.

Out is a different question, but not outside the realm of possibility.

EDIT: Anyone got a better angle of the punch? ****ing HBO

The question doesn't really make sense to me.

If he took more right power punches he could be KOed even without this real first punch.

He stayed pretty much well coordinated, was fast enough (and sanders is very fast guy) to run from the trouble and be fully recovered in matters of seconds.

He was stunned but he recovered remarkable fast form the power punch that would KO surly majority of HWs.

Hell no. Although to me this was one of the toughest fights for Vitali he was never hurt in that fight. He just stumbled a bit.

Sanders was a talented fighter. If he had been more disciplined about training, he could have had a great career.

Agree. He had one of the fastest hand speeds in HW with the real power.

Never seen Vitali hurt like that before. And i remember he was caught by some heavy uppercut by Lennox Lewis. Sanders looks a bit overweight though..

Christ! Sanders looks in disgraceful shape. What a lazy bastard. I'd forgotten how fat and flabby he was in this fight, among others.
