By Ronnie Nathanielz - Well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani exuded confidence that his fighter, IBF light flyweight champion Johnriel Casimero is “perfect with no problems” as they prepared to leave for Mexico via Los Angeles on Monday night.
Casimero who won the interim title after scoring a 10th round TKO over Luis Lazarte in Argentina in a fight marred by an ugly post-fight attack on the Filipino contingent was elevated to champion when Ulises Solis indicated he would be unable to undertake a mandatory title defense by the October deadline due to injury.
Gello-ani told the Manila Standard that Casimero has looked good in sparring and is “ready to defend his title” following a couple of postponements of his title defense when he faces undefeated Mexican Pedro Guevara in Sinaloa, Mexico on August 4. [Click Here To Read More]
