    BoxingScene.com has been advised that promoter Joe DeGuardia was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on the westbound Long Island Expressway, in New York, at about 4:15 in the morning. DeGuardia was coming home from a show he promoted at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington.
