I get you, same here, I'm not denying that, but this guy is saying Margarito (the obvious "stronger" guy in the 1st fight) lost the rematch because of the gloves. For god's sake, Margarito lost ALL of his big fights after being caught with plaster (couldn't even KO the nobody he beat) the guys wouldn't even bleed or have a broken nose, yet look at Cotto's face after the 1st fight, see how many 1st rd KO's Margarito had previous to Cotto, Margarito was a KO machine prior to the 1st Cotto fight. Now he can't even hurt anybody?!?! Gloves have a dramatic impact...but don't define a boxer to the point he'll retire...plaster does...

According to ESPN, testing by the California State Department of Justice has confirmed that there was indeed plaster of paris in Antonio Margarito's wraps
Margarito didn't even appeal his suspension. Those two elements, with the addition of oxygen, make plaster of Paris.
The hand wraps were removed from Margarito's fists shortly before his Jan. 24 title fight against Mosley when Mosley's trainer, ****m Richardson, objected to their use. The hardened gauze pads, which had been inserted inside the hand wraps near Margarito's knuckles, were seized by the California State Athletic Commission, which sanctions and oversees boxing in the state.Comment

Is kind of strange that Margarito was knocking guys ears off and busting them up real bad and then after he got caught he couldn't bust a g****. He hurt Pac but couldn't finish him. Plus Pac is a lil dude. I used to be a Margarito fan but once he got caught cheating that went out of the window.Comment

Funny how Mosley and all the other steroid cheats get a pass but everybody is quick to throw marg under the bus. Anybody who worked with plaster knows that it can not get hard when wet and sweaty. It needs air to dry ******s!! In a closed environment such as wearing gloves it can not dry and form plaster of Paris.. It took a spectron microscope to find traces of calcium and sulfur. A microscope lol. If you need to use a microscope to find elements that make up plaster how much do you really think was there!! Enough to make plaster I don't think so. Wake up people. The reason why he was able to continue his career was because any court would have thrown out the so called evidence in a heartbeat. Hbo threw him under the bus plain and simple for busting up there golden boy cotto.
