    New olympic boxing scoring system

    Can someone explain it to me please. I understand theyre no longer going by clean punches landed but im still a bit lost on how it works.

    Its still clean punches landed. It's 5 judges with a clicker. The high score and the low score are eliminated. The average of the three middle scores count for each round.

          I am curious if people would like to see something similar in pro boxing, move to 5 judges then throw out the high and low on both ends. With the 10 point must of course.

                it would work because you throw out both extremes. In a legit fight.

                in an arum or king fight, they're just gonna be bought off anyway

                  You would have to buy off more people, and usually you only see one out there card.

                  Also they should just have a pool of judges on hand for the fights and pick them at fight time, as opposed to announcing them to the world weeks beforehand, which I still don't exactly get why they do that (other than allowing them time to cash in).
