Who else here reads boxing books?

What boxing books have you read?
    What is in your collection?

    I have

    -Sugar Ray
    -Joe Louis:The Great Black Hope
-The Greatest Boxing Stories ever told
    -Bert Sugar on Boxing
-The official boxing Hall of Fame book
    -Chaos, Corruption, Courage and Glory
-Some like little book with tons of facts on Ali

I have finished the one(s) in bold, reading the ones in blue, and red half of the ones in red..

I just bought Joe Frazier's book..

    -Box like the pros

I was at the library, looked through it, looked AWESOME!!!
I'm going to finish ALL these books over the holidays..

I've read some boxing fiction too. I read all four Robert Lipsyte boxing books. They're really for like teens but yeah.

    The Contender
    The Brave
    The Chief
    Warrior Angel

Everyone should read them, then force your kids to read them. The Contender was definitely the best, imo. Warrior Angel was just screwed up. They're all in the same story world with connected characters. I'm really surprised there hasn't been a film adaptation of The Contender yet. No, it isn't about Sergio Mora or Manfredo.

I've skimmed a few boxing books. Didn't have time to read them completely because I was working on my final research paper for college.

There's been too many to name, but I've read a whole bunch of boxing books during my lifetime.

      Books are great!

I have read and enjoyed a lot of those mentioned. Never read Bert Sugar however...can't stand him!
I am looking forward to reading the new one by our own boardmember Iceman John Scully. The guy was a very good fighter, is smart and articulate and can actually WRITE! The excerpts he has sent me are great.

                  Libraries rock f*kking HARD!
                  Really.
The net is a great source but once in a while you need to hit the library for sure.

I got sooo many boxing books, maybe I should spend more time reading them than being here.
