Does anyone else think 50 will be great for boxing?

The guy is a GREAT business man, he used to be a box when he was younger as well so he knows a bit of stuff. When it comes to promoting himself and his brand, 50 is a genius, he knows what entertains people especially the younger crowd. The guy has done movies, commercials, sold millions of records, shoes, clothing like jeans and shoes (both popular), headphones, he even sold Vitamin Water to Coca Cola and made like $100 mill.

There are millions of hip hop and 50 cent fans, that right there is a huge market, a ton of them are already Floyd fans just because 50 is Floyd's friend. 50 will introduce the youth of America to this great sport, same with his international fans. If all goes well I think we may see an huge influx of American boxers in the future because of 50.

Boxing is looking strong right now, several guys that have the potential to be superstars. Once the klits retire in a few years the HW division will also heat up, I definitely think a ton of cruisers are going to move up because these titles will be up for grabs as there is no clear successor.

it will bring some attention to boxing from young ppl who wouldnt have be interested otherwise. which is exactly what boxing needs. 50 wouldnt launch this for fun, hes looking for profit and i think thats what he sees. a great sport that isnt being properly sold to the young generation, if he can pull it off it would be great for boxing. besides expect him to get some help from mayeather and his ppl, 50 will mainly be the front figure imo.

No. He doesnt know anything about the sport, who cares if he boxed when he was younger, allot of people have. He doesnt even know anything about the fighters he signed. He met Gamboa at Floyd's gym, and all of a sudiden he claims its his favorite fighter, but when they asked him what he liked about Gamboa, he tried to think of something to say. He is an overrated business man, he is no longer as famous as he used to be. Now his only claims to fame, is being on 24'7, in which he makes himself seem like a groupie, and ultimately makes Floyd look gay. His albums dont sell anymore, his free mixtapes have no downloads. 50 is a guy who overrates himself as a business man and really thinks he is a smart guy. He did ONE good movie. GRODT, Then all of a sudden he thinks he is a genuis when it comes to movies, so he goes and tries to get a movie deal, and his first movie off that deal, was Things Fall Apart, which was horrible. This is the same thing. He been hanging around Floyd, now he thinks he knows how to promote, which will cause some GREAT fighters, their career. 50 is a casual boxing fan. He will tie up these fighters in contracts without knowing their powers, or weaknesses, and end up having them fight back to back bum fights for easy money, or he will throw gamboa in their with Broner's big azz, then Gamboa will get stopped. His weakness is his positioning, in which he gets out of, and his questionable chin. 50 has no more fans, he will bring absolutely NOTHING extra to boxing, and as far as the Vitamin water deal, that was YEARS ago. He's NOT POPPING anymore. Im not hating, I just look at how over the hill he is, how much of a know-it-all, that knows NOTHING, he is, and I think this is terrible for the sport. Gamboa and Dirrell need to get with veteran promoters so we can see them back in the ring again. Not a noobie company. -_-

Ten years ago maybe...good for starting a promotion, but the guy hasn't been a relevant entertainer for years.

I honestly think you'd have a better chance with Allen Jackson or Danny Filth than Curtis Jackson as your manager.

He sucks as a rapper so I don't see why he'd be any better as a promoter.
