Just my humble opinion but I think Tyson takes him inside 7 rounds.

Tyson would turn it into a phone booth fight taking Bowe's range away. The only negative is he's going to have to eat a lot of uppercuts before he closes that gap...

Bowe that fought Real Deal could fight really well on the inside. Also had a great chin.

Not really sure who I'd pick in a Bowe/Tyson prime for prime fantasy fight. Would probably rival Hagler/Hearns for explosiveness though.

On topic : I'm with the consensus here. Holmes over Tyson by late stoppage or maybe UD in a 12 round fight.

I was singing and hanging out. I wasn’t really into fighting Mike Tyson. I had quit. Don King came to me and offered me $3.5 million. I said I might as well take the fight. I took the fight on short notice. They only gave me two months to get ready for the fight and then I fell short. Mike Tyson beat me, and after that I quit and went back to the things I was doing with the band and whatever. Then I told people how it was. Mike Tyson is going to be a great fighter but his mind is not going to be there to be a great fighter because he’s going to do anything and everything that he wants to do. I told people in five years or whatever he would be in jail, and everything I predicted and said about Mike Tyson came true. I mean I like Mike Tyson. I think he’s a good guy. I just think he needs to think about what he’s going to do before he does it.
Great quote, bro. I only remember the last part of the interview. I don't doubt the rest. Not saying Larry would've fared much differently, but it's interesting to read some of the back-story to that fight.

Out of 10 fights, I'd say Holmes wins between 6 and 8. Holmes was a bad man with a great chin, and his style was one Tyson would struggle with.

I got mike in a Trinidad Vargas kind of fight. Holmes is great, but I just think anyone who tries to KO a prime Mike will get KO'd. I think that when Evander beat Mike, Mike was done. The mike that was running 5 miles every morning was long gone by then. Mike before Jail during Cus, was unstoppable. Yeah he fought some bums, but he Kod every bum in a minute. And beat the dog crap out of everyone else. Mike was a beast and is underated in my opinion because the second half of his career ended so poorly. At his best, I truly believe he beats everyone to ever put on the gloves.

But the underrated Holmes might've beaten Tyson a hypothetical 7 or 8 out of 10 times. Larry was a great boxer with an ATG jab and an iron chin. And lets not forget his will to win. In the end, I think this would've been the biggest factor working against "Iron Mike". Tyson would've withered in the championship rounds versus Holmes.
I could not said it better, i also favor holmes to have the edge on mike...

Tyson has said that D'Amato always showed him tapes of Holmes and gave him a gameplan to beat Holmes. I think Tyson would've had a puncher's chance early on in the fight before he faded and before Holmes could establish his jab. But once Holmes manages to establish his jab and impose his will a little bit, he takes over.
