I thought Valdez was blocking a lot of those punches by Nevin with his gloves in the first round. Nevin should have still won that round though but not by that wide a margin.

Nevin will get stopped in a pro fight versus Valdez, just look at he how put him down with a liver shot, and after the fight Nevin was still clearly hurt.

The fight reminded me of the first rounds of Lee vs Chavez.

That was a burtal body punch, probably would have put anyone down. Nevin still showed heart and fought back well after the Knockdown.

Nevin would make a very good pro imo, he can got to the body well himself. Hes also had a dozen or so sem-pro fights in the WSB, and looked to adapt to it very well.
