it's certainly not something to which they are entitled. it's not like chad dawson is making some insane amount of money every time he fights. he labored in obscurity for many years. most boxers make almost nothing when they start out. they get to their prime years, make big paydays against top fighters, wear down, and then retire.
if dawson's brother went to a good law school he'd probably make more than chad if he practiced law for 40 years. he'd work for his money like the rest of us.
if my brother were vastly wealthy i wouldnt feel entitled to a damn cent. if he wanted to set me up with a down payment on a house or school for my kids or something i'd greatly appreciate it, but he wouldn't owe me anything.
the guy wants a handout. gross, if you ask me. i'd be motivated as hell to be as successful as my brother, not looking for his charity.
now, your parents, on the other hand, you owe. if you make enough money you help them out if they need it.
if your brother needs help you can help him out too. but he's not entitled to the money you make getting your face, brain, and body hit by professional boxers.
