Cotto holds his own promotional company, mainly in PR. I doubt he will give that up to join them. Although i think he may use them for co-promotions like mayweather have been using gbp.

I guess I have to admit to being confused. I thought that Mayweather used Golden Boy due to expertise and reach. He has a promotional company already doesn't he in Mayweather Promotions or is that just a shell to get his name on the events and he isn't licensed and needs a licensed promoter? Can someone set me straight?

This is a good thing for boxing and while many may get caught up in the public face {50 Cent} don't think for a minute that he is doing this alone without great counsel and a great supporting cast.
