Mosley shot to fame beating Oscar, but he was a world beater at 135. It was by far his most suited weight (although we never saw him at 140 beacause he skipped over that division to go after Oscar).

At 147, Mosley was very fast but not naturally a welter, nor did he posess the same pop he displayed at 135.

It would appear that Mosley has faded in the last few years, but I think the problem is that he wasn't naturally big enough to be fighting at 154.

At 135, he could throw those lightning fast thudding shots and knock guys down and out. At 147 and 154, he wasn't doing the same kind of damage, yet he continued to plant his feet and punch like he did.

He lost to some very good bigger fighters and did so taking some big shots and planting his feet and fighting them. It really gave a good idea of his chin and heart to see him fight Forrest after getting decked like that, and his 2nd loss to Winky was a stellar preformance considering what Wright did to Tito.

Shane would have been better suited to test the very rich waters at 140 after beating Oscar (imagine a fight between him and Tszyu in 2000). Instead he moved up and fought his fight agaisnt bigger fighters.

It wasn't the weights (although that has hurt him in that he can't get back down to those lower weights) and it's not that he has faded.

I think he can still be a key player at Welterweight.

(I know he's fighting Vargas at 154 but I've heard he will continue his tenure at Welterweight.)

Mosley doesn't have much to worry about, Vargas will never be the same without "the creme"

I agree. I have Mosley by late TKO in this fight, or by comfortable decision.

Vargas isn't ready for this fight yet, he looked soft and off in his two return fights.

Mosley's chin is a rock, and I think his speed and accuracy wears El Feroz down.

Bozo, taking nothing away from Shane because I am a huge fan, but Vargas was severely dehydrated in his last fight he was basically ****ed since round 1. He weighed 193 at the start of camp...and yes Mosley is moving back down after this fight he said he's going to be weighing in at 150-151.
