floyd, out of jail, presumably needing a tuneup, vs an al haymon fighter, puerto rican, undefeated, coming off a big win.

The main reason I like it because Danny earned the fight by beating Khan. That aspect is missing from boxing, especially since very few champs fight their mandatory #1 contender, and we sorely need it back IMO.

I have no problem with Floyd fighting Danny, I feel Danny has earned it but I just don't see Floyd fighting Danny yet.

I'll be tight if Garcia gets the fight... I'll be happy for him on a personal level, but as far as competition, the conclusion is foregone, I hate fights like that.

Heres the order of most likely opponents Floyd will fight next in December:

1. Canelo at 154 - if Canelo beats Lopez in Sept, this fight will happen no doubt in Dec. everything sets up perfectly
2. Martinez at 154 - see this fight happening if Martinez wins and Canelo happens to get upset. Floyd has always openly stated he'd be willing to fight Martinez, and Martinez is open to drug testing
3. Cotto rematch at 154 - this is a plan C if Canelo and Martinez both get upset. disappointing but would still be a credible fight
4. Bradley at 147 - this fight actually makes the most sense but probably won't happen because of Arum
5. Khan at 147 - longshot but he would have to look spectacular in the Garcia rematch
6. Garcia at 147 - if Garcia turned down the Khan rematch and defeated a top 10 147 pounder, this could be a possibility
7. winner of Berto Malignaggi at 147 - i think Berto Malignaggi fight happens. i could see Floyd fighting the winner if somehow everything else fails

I'm not going to go back and forth with you about this but each day that goes bye Manny's pot is shrinking. A loss (even though I believe he won) and doing less than a million ppv buys is not helping Manny's case.

my bad, i was just asking it like that because you said garcia wasnt a draw. People on here say Floyd only fights the money fights and then say he wont fight the best because they dont equate the two. I guess u can make a case either way. I think Canelo is a good option too.
