John v Marquez was six years ago. Nothing since. Three of his last four "defenses" have been against horrible, unworthy opposition. he's a true gun, the issue is that yanks don't like ppl who aren't from there area in general...with pacman being an exception and it took him a while too, thanks to him being very explosive and KO'ing other champs...

other top skilfull fighters from asia and Europe etc will never be respected in the US - for some strange reason, must be arrogance....but its very sad to see a top P4P fighter like Chris John not even be talked about. He has beaten many guns including JMM - I watched that fight and John schooled him...but the ppl over in the US/Mexico refuse to acknowledge and or talk about that loss on JMM's record....and if they ever do, they smoke it by saying 'controversial decision'....load of crap!!

Chris John fought what like once in the U.S. when he got his draw against Rocky Juarez!!?? LOL John will fight anyone who says "would you like a squishy my friend...?.."

Why isn't John getting any U.S. exposure anymore? Goldenboy promoted him for a couple fight's then he just fell off the map. Chris John's been the WBA superchamp for 8 year's. Gamboa was the 'interim' WBA champ a couple year's ago and all the sudden he was upgraded to 'regular' WBA champ and considered the best at 126 without fighting Chris John first.

He was supposed to defend his belt against Gamboa, twice he refuse to fight him, do you know why?
