Hopefully for Brook's sake and the fans it's what did HE learn and hopefully he did learn something. The big (& currently unanswered) question is.....
What did Brook learn from his bout with Jones?
Or maybe it's 'What did we learn?'
If the Jones fight was part of a learning curve then it was a brilliant one which will stand Kell in good stead in future.
If the Jones fight showed Kell's limitations then sooner or later he's going to meet a tougher/faster/cleverer Carson & get knocked out.
I'm halfway between the two.
And let's also be careful before we count out these Argie boxers. I LOVE 'em. They come to fight & have heart all the way.......
Stamina is not that big of an issue, that could be fixed, I think? The guy went thru a war with a broken nose even tho he was gassing before the broken nose but still made it out of there.Comment

Brook showed his ability to remain calm under Jones' attacks and used his good footwork to manoeuvre out of the way. Everything that could go wrong, bar a loss, did go wrong for Brook.
The broken nose was really detrimental in the latter rounds but he still managed to get through. Carson Jones is a bit of an unknown quantity but he's certainly a good boxer and there is no shame in having a tough fight with someone like that. Especially if your best win prior was against the likes of Matthew Hatton.
I think it's a great thing that fight happened and how it played out. Brook's certainly not going to underestimate any more of his opponents and hopefully he curbs his antics outside of the ring. I don't believe Brook has a strength & conditioning coach, I vaguely remember that was something Eddie Hearn was looking into.
People get a bit too carried away over here in the UK. They look great against amputees but once they step-up that specialness fades. If anything, the Jones fight put Brook up in my opinion. A fighter needs to be faced with that adversity and show the world what they're really made of.Comment
