    Cancun, Mexico - The main event was a toe to toe battle with Pablo Cesar Cano (25-1-1, 19KOs) defeating previously undefeated Johan Perez (15-1-1, 12KOs) to win the interim-WBA super lightweight title by mayority decision with scores of 68-65, 68-65 and 67-67. The fight was stopped due to a cut over the right eye of Pablo Cesar Cano.

          no problems w/the stoppage, saw it on FoxDeportes but I don't classify this an upset especially the way Cano gave such a hard bout vs Morales last yr...mayb the surrprise was leaving the WBC as 4 a while Morales was working w/him after they fought...

                  No upset clear 50/50 fight heading in too it.Wish Perez got the win but credit too Cano has gotten on a nice roll since Morales
