The question I ask about you little scenario is if this fight doesn't happen how will Haye be remembered? No one seems to be focusing on the fact that he won't be be remembered as a great heavyweight. He will be remembered as the guy who took the easy route by fighting a couple of washed up fighters to get his fake title, and remember both Ruiz and Valuev both retired after the Haye fights. And he took these fights while telling everyone he would clean out the division while only averaging one fight a year fighting a couple of washed up and otherwise very average domestic level British fighters. Wow, I may be mistaken but I don't think anyone would mistake that as Hall of Fame worthy. So, I will ask who needs who more?
