And many more all beat him if they were the same size. The real meaning of pfp, not your little popularity contest.

I'm sorry, I had to laugh at this list. LOL.

      No wonder he refused OST.
Lol @ a Jr fan making insults at another fighter about drug testing.

You out of all the fans right now, should not be talking smack about dope at other fighters.
Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house.

as far as the fans are concerned, though...its been 2 years now and i've yet to hear a solid case for Martinez even being top 4 p4p....yet these same dudes somehow find theory after theory supporting their argument for Pacquiao not even being in the top 5

What am I missing? Serious question.
martinez is one of the few lineal champions in boxing, plenty of belts out there but EVERYONE who isnt ******ed recognizes martinez is the best MW in the world today until he gets beat. that cant be said for many other fighters, even on the p4p list.

with all the cherry pickers out there who find a way to move up and down in weight fighting just the right guys and avoiding certain styles you gotta give credit to martinez. he always adapts and finds a way to impose his style on his opponent. back in the day it was obvious that was required of a champion, today like mentioned fighters find a way around certain styles.

pacquiao and donaire are perfect examples of fighters who use their brilliant physical gifts to steamroll other physical fighters but look clueless when fighting a smart technician who knows how to adapt to THEM and take away those gifts.

his resume is very underrated too, williams was a top 10p4p fighter when martinez knocked him cold and pavlik had just got demoted off the p4p list when martinez beat him in convincing fashion. he beats everyone in convincing fashion, guys like mackling and barker might not be great fighters but they are solid contenders. they know how to fight and were in their primes when martinez demolished them. dzinziruk was a very good win too. beating one or two of these guys like that wouldnt mean much but he does it every single time.

nobody wanted to fight him on his way up and even now he struggles to get the other top MWs in the ring with him. the simple reason being hes that good. but as long as hes the true Mw champion and keeps beating solid fighters in style i dont see how you can not rank him amongst the best in the world.

besides you can just tell hes a special fighter when you watch him.

the mental game.. intelligence, toughness, dedication.
the physical aspect.. speed, reflexes, power, chin, stamina.
the technical aspect.. footwork, angles, sense of distance, form, timing, precision, headmovement etc.. fck it his skills are incredible, only thing he lacks is fundamentals but he knows how to use it as an advantage and makes it work. truly a special fighter.

Let this thread dissapear into the moonlight baby. Since PW who has Sergio fought, let alone beat that justifies no2?

Pac has beat JMM and Bradley respectively in his last 2 fights alone. Sergio is up to something, its just a case of trying to identifly why he is playing mind games.

Because he has been the lineal MW champ for over 2 years
                that says a lot
being MW champ gets mad props because its one of the first and oldest divisions in boxing
He tool 2 too many easy fights imo
he should have taken on that euro bum Pirog just to shut him up
If it wastn for this fight in Sept I would say he doesnt belong in the top5 maybe top 10
but you cant be top 5 and fighting nobodies or past prime fighters thats why I had pac out of the top 5 P4P since the Mosley fight was signed

ok if you think that Pac beat Bradley then he clearly lost to JMM
                    he didnt win both
so lets get technical and say the truth
he beat JMM and lost to bradley
you lose your most recent fight to a fighter not in the top 5 P4P and you are out of the top 5 yourself
