I like Thurman. He is an action fighter and an up and comer. Lets face it Marquez and Mayweather are nearing the end of their careers (especially Marquez) and I don't see him getting a fight with them in the near future. I think Kahn, brook, maidana, even JSK are all fights he can take as a test to the next level. If he beats one of these guys he becomes, at least in my eyes, a genuine contender and should get a shot at Bradley, Devon, Broner, or Guerrero. If he beats one, some, or all he should get a shot at the top guy whoever that is. Of course, this can change if he has a foty type fight or if he gets ko'd.

I hope Maidana and Matthysse try to avenge their countryman by facing Keith lol. Keith is the real deal, he would kill em all.

Stunned man, disagree entirely. Alexander doesn't have a good enough authoritative jab, nor does he have respectable power to keep Thurman away, it's gonna be Quintana-Thurman all over again, except Alexander may reach the final bell. What's even more interesting, the fact that Alexander's jab is useless, he still pumps it out there, Thurman will counter him over the top.

Stop overrating Abregu man, he's a decent fighter but we all saw how Bradley dominanted him and Thurman is capable of doing that as well, probably even stopping him. Lets remember Abregu's chin is less than decent.

I think Thurman has all the potential in the world to be on of the best Welters in the world. Hopefully he fights again before years end and steps up in competition again.

I don't know about "the next big thing" but he's definitely one to watch out for.
