I don't really see how people can say someone is a fantastic boxer then go on to list traits that make them not a fantastic boxer.

Does Khan have exceptional timing? No.
Does Khan have good ring generalship? No.
Does Khan have high boxing IQ? No.
Can Khan be competent on the inside? No.
Is Khan defensively sound? No.

How is he is a fantastic boxer? Because he has fast hands and has a little bit of pop to his punches? He's a good boxer but hardly elite.

Got some real conflicted fans on here lol. There's no problem with rooting for a flawed fighter, but ppl need to stop acting like Khan is an elite or complete fighter. He simply isn't. He has time to turn it around. Khan cannot continue to mask his flaws with his speed any longer because everyone knows who they're dealing with. He needs to further develop his skill-set and then utilize his new tools.

Danny is a guy who if you break him down into individual pieces, nothing will stand out. He is great in the intangibles: timing, heart, toughness. He also is built to go 12 rounds. He seems to be "a winner", which ultimately will make him an elite fighter.

Nobody is overrating Garcia, if anything, the majority continues to underestimate his ability and potential. So there's no myth about Garcia. Nobody thinks Garcia is some ATG or anything, he just keeps on winning, no doubt about that. Khan's biggest enemy is himself, he lacks a boxing brain and can't seem to keep calm under pressure. It's way too easy to lure him into an exchange, which shows how undisciplined he is. He has a faulty chin, leaky defense and yet he continues to rest on his quick hands to get him through a fight. He brings his arrogance into the ring with him, thinking that his speed will be enough to overcome his opponent. Instead of fighting behind a jab and picking his spots, he stayed within punching range and threw some lazy combinations, and he got caught. Garcia came into the ring prepared for Khan's ambush style, and he beat him. Khan has had the same flaws for a while now, and doesn't seem to be improving on a fight-to-fight basis like he should be.

hahahaha i know! Khan still fights like a hybred Olympian. shoe shine punches with flashes of a legit body puncher. his training to be frank is decent. what should have improved with roach is his defense but that only thing that has improved is his offense. one half of the equation. Khan has heart t learn but i feel he's trying to go to fast kid has legit power but his nerves get the best of him. If the khan that showed up in the first round vs Maidana was consistent 140 would run for it's life.


Garcia has decent speed so what! look how he makes up for it with his boxing IQ and ring generalship. look at his no movement jab it's fuinny becasue i think the divide separates the ones who understand boxing and don't get fooled by the hype of one attribute.... imagine how scary it is not knowing what your opponent is really great at, when they are good at allot of things. hmmmmm lol

Well to call a fighter mediocre,is to say the least,disrespectful.He KO a top level fighter that maidena couldnt KO.I myself dont like him too much but he is a go forward fighter and everybody likes that.My question is,what have you achieved lately,something that can give you that right,any belts?..
In all honesty it makes me sick how people like you,call fighters names or swear they have the right fight plan.I boxed for a while and always crap my pants when entering the small gym ring...Congratulations to danny and unless khan changes he will lose again,but in all honesty not a lot of people like hit and run fighters,IMO.

if khan didn't talk so much about how great he is and how elite he is, and didn't make tons of excuses and keep whining about something, no one would hate him. he's a skillful kid with TONS of heart and will, wants to fight everyone. It's his mouth and his arrogant attitude which he cannot backup which deters people from him.

he needs to get on the right path and change his image, and he can succeed in the future, without a doubt...

Truth is there is no myth about Garcia, everyone knows he doesn't do anything great. The thing is he doesn't do anything really bad either. That's good boxing fundamentals for you.

Khan has great hand speed but apart from that what else has he got? He has heart I'll give him that but you know what? Most boxers have heart.
