After Khan's loss to Garcia the fighter will more than likely stick around 140lb for a few more years. There's not much point in him moving up to 147lb as a fight against Mayweather is out of the picture meaning he'd be forced to fight bigger and stronger opposition at the same price he is fighting fighters now ( Unless he fights Bradley).
With Broner he is moving up to 135lb after his next fight. With his physical build I can see him moving up to 140lb after 3-5 fights which is about a year and a half to 2 years.
By that time a fight with Khan is a high possibility and lets be frank makes more sense than Khan v Mayweather where the fighters are leagues apart.
