I would not be upset if Hatton came back for a Malignaggi rematch. Hatton was never a great fighter but he was fun to watch. That was also the only time i liked the UK fans, with the "Theres only one Ricky Hatton" song. How quickly we forget is the best explanation i can think of for his fans jumping off the bandwagon. Paulie vs Hatton for a paper title might even sell in the US, as both are known fighters. I am willing to bet that if Hatton comes back and beats Paulie, which will not be an easy task for someone who has taken quite a vacation, his bandwagon will be full again...but at least we get to hear that Song.

Problem is he'd chase a Mayweather fight, even if he still has punch resistance, he's never getting a fair crack at Floyd. Due to their styles the ref will always have a major say and will always lean towards the American fighter.

If he fights and beats Malignaggi he should take Marquez on in Manchester.

you still *****ing man! floyd would beat ricky if the fight were in ricky's parents house and you were the ref, and ricky's parents and his kid were the judges. Ricky just isn't as good as floyd and will never be as good.

God just made floyd superior to Ricky. accept it and move on.

Oh i agree with everything you said except the part about Marquez having to go to Manchester. Marquez has had his fair share of bad decisions in America and would get robbed in England as well. Not saying they should fight in Mexico or Texas, which is like Mexico Lite, but anywhere else in the States should be ok. Oh and how that fight would sell if it Happened. First step would be for Hatton to beat Paulie.

Hatton is only 33 ? That's quite a surprise to me.

I would happily see Ricky lose a decision to Marquez in either country as long as he was allowed to go to work. On paper Smoger would be a good ref, he lets fighters fight.

Agreed, and he should probably even take a tune-up before that.

I believe hatton is training hard and everything and I know he'll get himself into fighting shape.but I think the competition is too much now been away too long got into nasty shape I wish him well but the odds are against him.

If Hatton is to comeback i think he better avoid all counter and big punchers

He is better off fighting domestic such as Kel Brook and JRW, he might beat Malignaggi, but thats a lot to ask from a boxer who hasnt been active for years.

Hatton vs Bradley is also a fight if he can grab him a title
