No probably not AS hyped; but there would be enough hype.

Chavez has proven himself a legitimate middleweight, one who has the tools to dethrone Martinez.

Other than Sturm and Martinez, Chavez has beaten more top 10-15 guys in the division than anyone else.

He certainly earned this shot at the title.

I have to give credit to his mother~ Sr. ain't a big dude so those big dude genes had to come from mom's side of the family~

        JCC Jr. 6'0" 73" reach
        JCC Sr. 5'7.5" 66" reach

Although Sr. does get credit for choosing his breeding stock well~

genes play a role yes absolutley but if a father is 5'7 and the mom is even close to that at 5'6 theres a very high probability the offspring will be 6 ft plus , its a proven sceince theres height calaculators for that online, sure theres exceptions a tall set of parents can still have a midget .....

You could tell his dad gives him more advice during training than Roach that Jr can actually apply in fights. It's almost like Freddie Roach is just there for publicity or something.

I was just messing around, and genetics does work in funky ways that are hard to predict.

I am not going to lie though every time I look at giant JCC Jr. and think about little JCC Sr. it makes me laugh and wonder just how he produced him.

If Jr was being protected because he didn't know shhh about boxing, then why strip Sergio & gift-wrap the WBC belt for him? Fcuking Arum & Suleiman....
