let's not forget that rees was stopped by kotelnik who is not exactly mike tyson. i think abril's skill set is so far above rees's that he'll be capable of stopping him, just because he'll be hitting him so cleanly all night.

He's like Campillo, these guys have no choice but to fight on their opponent's turf and get shafted.

Abril schools Rees but probably gets robbed again though I do think Rees is a good, underrated fighter.

Hearns is putting on some good fights of late. Matchroom Boxing is going to pick up a lot of fighters over the next few years.

Hopefully these 2 fights get the green light.

But that would be great doublheader, it just hurts me as Proksa fan as I know Golovkin is all wrong for him...
Yeah, Proksa's promoter is doing a huge disservice to him; he's getting his fighter a fight with one of the best mw's in the world and probably a good payday. Bad promoter...

I'm not sure I agree with this statement. While Mexicans and Puerto Ricans certainly support their bigger names, lesser fighters don't necessarily "pack venues." For one thing, it doesn't make economic sense. Mexican boxing fans wanting to support their countrymen have too many athletes to follow. They have to literally choose their battles wisely. And while a guy like Cotto might have Puerto Ricans flying in from the island to watch him fight, someone like Cintron would be lucky to get even minimal support by his own people.

I'm a fan of both fighters and I hate that these two dudes have to take each other out so soon. Proksa has a lot of potential but needs more development, a brutal KO loss to GGG might ruin his career...

hearn is great for british boxing -- even though his two fighters get owned in these match-ups.

I hope Golovkin finally lands a good opponent, the entire division avoids him.
