Perfect time for Khan vs Prescott 2
Collapse

I think he needs to fight someone who can't punch in his next fight.
He needs to build up some momentum again.Comment

People will want to watch him regardless.
Yeah, I don't think it's a great idea either.
A fight like a Malignaggi rematch for a world title makes more sense at this point or even a bout with Matthew Hatton or Lamont Peterson (assuming he gets a pity ban).
They need to ease him back in, not throw him in with a brutal KO artist.Comment

Someone like Mauricio Herrera would be good. He has great skills but isn't likely smash Khan's face in.Comment

Half of the "hardcore" boxing community doesn't care about this fight happening, why would the majority of the public? There are better names out there for Khan to sell his "grand comeback" against. What's another fight against Prescott really gonna do for us, ya'll? Think about it....
if Khan loses to Prescott...it will UNDOUBTEDLY be at the hands of some brutal KO...which will tell us what? Reveal that Khan has a weak chin? LOL
If Khan weathers the storm and outpoints Breidis...what is that gonna tell us? That Khan is the better boxer (or atleast the least limited one)?
None of our opinions about either fighter is gonna change. This fight is a Win-Win for Prescott and a Lose-Lose for Amir. Not happening.Last edited by MalikKnucklez; 07-17-2012, 07:24 AM.Comment

Yep!
Still though, I love Khan fights. My heart is in my mouth the entire time because he is so vulnerable.
He could feasibly be the 140 pound Wladimir Klitschko but his idiocy makes him exciting.Comment

I was just making a suggestion. Maybe some of you guys are right and they'll probably be looking for a softer puncher than Prescott. I believe this fight kills two birds with one stone, builds confidence and avenges a loss. Question is, at which weight class will Khan be fighting at when he comes back?Comment

So let's get this right -
Khan has just been knocked out by a puncher, so his management should put him in with another puncher straight after, despite him still having the same defensive vulnerabilities and inability to stick to a gameplan?
Khan needs a few gimme fights to hone some defensive skills before he steps in with a puncher again.
If he gets KO'd twice in a row, and loses his third fight on the trot, it's game over.
It's literally the worst possible time to fight Prescott. Don't ever become a boxing manager, seriously.Comment

Now?? Immediately after sustaining a ko?? Absolutely not.
